TEKLA Structures

TEKLA Structures is one of Europe’s leading 3D BIM software packages for structural steel.

All steel frame projects will be modeled within our office from Architectural drawings or models received.  Where an ifc or3d  dwg file is available from a 3D Architectural model, TEKLA can import this information to improve workflow.

On projects where we are appointed to complete Fabrication detailing (workshop drawings), all steel members will be detailed in 3D in the same TEKLA model, including connection detailing, material list production etc.  Freely viewable 3D models are available to share with other design disciplines and the site management team to maximise co-ordination issues and minimise disruption during the construction phase.

The steel detailing deliverables include traditional format 2d General Arrangement and detail drawings.

The 3D TEKLA model can also be linked to our Engineering design software, such that one central model is used as a basis for all calculation and drawing information issued from our office, thus, improving workflow, productivity and efficiency, whilst reducing interfaces for human error to enter the design/drawing process.
